About Wabbitt Web Design

“Blending creativity and technology....”

Wabbitt Web Design has been owned and operated by Jennifer Papacek Klimowicz, in Cuero, Texas since January 2003. Soon after relocating to the beautiful, rolling countryside of South Central Texas in late 2002, Jennifer officially launched Wabbitt Web Design with the goal of helping local small to medium–sized businesses and organisations in realising their web presence needs.

Jennifer's interests have always been piqued by the effective blending of creativity and technology, especially within the media arts, and from childhood she considered a career in the field of special visual effects in filmmaking. While living in Southern California following high school graduation, she studied at Saddleback College, Mission Viejo, where she majored in radio, television and film, and minored in computer information technology. She graduated with High Honors in 1994 with an Associate of Arts in Communications.

With the 1990s came the advent of the ”Information Superhighway” and the profileration of websites on the Internet for both individuals and businesses. Even while still in school, Jennifer began experimenting with web design, teaching herself HTML from scratch by peeking at the source code of sites she admired, and trying her hand at a few amateur designs for friends and family with special projects, groups or small businesses. Her eye now firmly set on a future in web design and development, Jennifer returned to Saddleback College to complete her self-education with classes in web programming and scripting.

When she is not building websites, managing social media, researching for a special project or learning a new skill, Jennifer continues to enjoy both creative and technological interests in written and digital communications, art, music, film, television, radio, meteorology, cosmology, environmental causes, sustainable living, organic gardening, and animal welfare, amongst others, and since May 1996 she has held a Technician Class amateur radio license, call sign KF6DVN.

The whimsical name of her business, ‘Wabbitt’, is a nod to the handle she was given by friends many years ago due to her keen appreciation of classic Looney Tunes cartoons and her favourite character, Bugs Bunny!
